DISTRICT INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION WAS HELD ON 6TH MARCH, 2023 AT BOSUSO

This year’s edition of the District Independence Day Celebration was held on 6th March ,2023 at Bosuso, a suburb of the Fanteakwa South District Assembly (FSDA) under the theme, Our Unity, Our Strength, Our Purpose.

The District Chief Executive for FSDA Hon Ernest Ofosu in his speech commended Ghanaians for supporting the administration of President Akuffo-Addo in the implementation of his policies in spite of the current economic challenges being attributed to external factors including COVID19 pandemic and the Russia invasion of Ukraine.
Hon. Ofosu in his delivery, mentioned that, the introduction of the Free Senior High School policy by the Akufo-Addo administration has giving access to qualified students who will intend manage the resources of the nation in future and has also relived parents off financial burden.

He therefore urged the beneficiaries of the policy to take their education seriously in order to gain access to their preferred tertiary institutions to pursue their courses of choice.
More so Hon Ofosu also mentioned that, the district assembly organised the maiden edition of the District debate for Junior High Schools within the district, adding that the policy will be organised annually and students will be rewarded accordingly.
The results oriented DCE also revealed that the District Assembly will soon commission a three (3) unit classroom with ancillary facilities at Hemaa SDA JHS and Asoum JHS
The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South Constituency Hon Kofi Agyepong was pleased with the dignitaries gathered to celebrate the developmental progress of Ghana since independence.

He therefore called on the constituents to have faith in President Akufo-Addo and his government to resuscitate the economy.
Hon Agyepong also highlighted some of his achievements in the constituency including the construction of roads, bridges, schools, investing in health care sector, to name a few.
He also noted that he is committed to invest his share of the Commonfund in critical sectors of the economy.
