The Department of Social Welfare and Community Development of the Fanteakwa South District Assembly on August 26th 2026, provided support to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) within the district with various items to help improve their livelihoods and provide relief to beneficiaries.
The presentation brought together the Chief of Akyem Nsutam Traditional Area, Osabarima Baafi Sarpong Kumamkuma II, the District Chief Executive Hon Mercy Korang, the district coordinating director, Assembly staff, and members of the community, who witnessed the distribution and expressed their support for the initiative.
Some of the items were provided to beneficiaries to enable them to start or strengthen small businesses and become economically self-reliant, while others received relief items to support their immediate needs.
The initiative forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to social inclusion, empowerment, and improving the livelihoods of vulnerable persons within the Fanteakwa South District.
