The Fanteakwa South District Assembly held a General Assembly Meeting on 2nd September, bringing together Assembly Members, management and staff to deliberate on matters relating to the development and administration of the District.
A major highlight of the meeting was the successful election of a Presiding Member (PM) for the Assembly. After two previous unsuccessful attempts, the Assembly finally elected Hon. Hans Sunny as Presiding Member on the third attempt.
Hon. Hans Sunny contended unopposed and was subsequently declared duly elected to preside over the proceedings of the General Assembly.
The successful election brings an end to the earlier impasse and provides the Assembly with a substantive Presiding Member to facilitate the effective conduct of its business.
The meeting also provided an avenue for Assembly Members to deliberate on key issues affecting the District and to strengthen collaboration towards achieving the Assembly’s development objectives.
