The District Chief Executive; Hon. Kwesi Ntori, Mr. John Vaad; the District Coordinating Director, the District Education Director; Mr. Mathew Adu-Brobbey, the District Health Director; Mr. Eric Atuahene, the District Information Officer; Mr. Clarence Parker-Allotey, Mr. Michael Boamah; Assistant Director IIB, Mr. Prince Adjapong; Circuit Supervisor, Mdm. Rebecca Essuman; Culture Coordinator, all went out on Tuesday January 19th for the monitoring of ‘’ My First Day at School’’. Before leaving, the DCE, presented 40 boxes of hand sanitizers and 4,000 nose masks, as well as, tissues to the Education Directorate to help them protect the children from contracting and spreading the disease.
The team split in two to cover two of the four zones of the District, the DCE, Director of Education, Director of Health, Assistant Director, a team from the Education and Health Directorates and a team of Journalists went to the North-Eastern zone of the District; comprising Nkankama, Ehiamenkyene, Bepoase amongst others, as part of team 1.
Team 2, comprising the Coordinating Director, the Circuit Supervisor, the Culture Coordinator and the District Information Officer took the North-Western zone of the District comprising, Abompe Salvation school, Bomodwen Presby Primary School, Bomodwen D.A., Gyanpomani, Dome Methodist, Hemang Presby, and Hemang S.D.A. With the exception of Gyanpomani all the others recorded new entrants. All schools visited had almost 92 percent return of pupils and students to class.
