Fanteakwa South District Commission Two GETFUND Projects at New Nsutam Secondary/Technical School on August 14, 2023

The two altra-mordern facilities in the New Nsutam Senior High Technical School have ground floor and the first floor have 20 rooms with lavatory and washrooms.

Region, Honourable Kofi Okyere Agyekum and the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr Ernest Ofosu have jointly commissioned separate two storey classroom blocks and two storey boy’s dormitory block for New Nsutam Senior High Technical School.

The two altra-mordern facilities in the New Nsutam Senior High Technical School have ground floor and the first floor have 20 rooms with lavatory and washrooms.

Speaking to the gathering at the commissioning of the projects Honourable Agyekum disclosed that education is one of the areas he wants to develop in the constituency hence the lobbying for the projects from GETFund.

For his part,the District Chief Executive for Fanteakwa South (DCE), Mr Ernest Ofosu called on students to dedicate more time for their books since government is doing its best by investing in education.

It now lies with the students to learn hard to vindicate the investments made in them, the MP stressed and advised the management of the schools to ensure proper maintenance of the projects.

On her Part, the Headmistress of Nsutam Secondary-Technical School (NSUTEC), Mrs. Theresa Wiredu Darkwah, commended the government, MP and the DCE for their interventions.

She explained that the Nsutam Secondary-Technical School had challenges with overcrowding since the student population was increasing.

She noted that the DCE and the Member of Parliament intervention with the GETFund projects will help the students to have a conducive environment to learn and alleviate their plight.

Moreover, in an interaction with the media, the Managing Director (MD) for SAMOTRUST COMPANY LTD, Mr. Bismark Osei Frimpong, the contractor of the projects said the two both projects cost Three Million Ghana Cedis GH¢3,000,000 respectively.

He noted both projects were supposed to be completed in 12months, but rather lasted only 6months in completion and were funded by GETFund.
