On 15th July 2026, the Fanteakwa South District Assembly held a General Assembly Meeting, bringing together Assembly Members, management, and relevant stakeholders to deliberate on key matters concerning the development and administration of the district.
A key item on the agenda was the election of a Presiding Member. However, for the second time, the election was unsuccessful, as none of the candidates obtained the required number of votes to be declared elected.
The Assembly will undertake the necessary steps for another election in accordance with the applicable procedures.
The meeting also provided an important platform for Assembly Members to deliberate on key development issues and take decisions aimed at promoting the effective administration and sustainable development of the Fanteakwa South District.
