The Fanteakwa South District Assembly has organized a massive community cleanup exercise in Bosuso, bringing together local residents, assembly staff, youth groups, and opinion leaders to promote cleanliness and environmental health.
The exercise, held on August 1, 2025, focused on desilting choked gutters, clearing weeds, sweeping public spaces, and properly disposing of waste materials. The initiative forms part of the Assembly’s ongoing efforts to improve sanitation and prevent the spread of diseases in the district.
Speaking during the event, the District Chief Executive Hon. Mercy Korang commended the high turnout and community spirit displayed by the people of Bosuso. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment, urging residents to make sanitation a daily habit rather than an occasional activity.
Participants expressed their appreciation to the Assembly for prioritizing public health and fostering unity through such activities. The cleanup exercise also served as a platform for sensitizing the public on proper waste disposal and the need to keep surroundings tidy.
The Assembly pledged to continue similar sanitation drives across all communities within the Fanteakwa South District, ensuring a cleaner, healthier, and more attractive environment for all.
