Leaving a Positive Legacy For the Future- Fanteakwa South District Retired Education Director Advised.

The Eastern Regional Conference of Directors of Education, E-CODE has organised a send-off dinner part and thanksgiving ceremony for Mr Matthew Adu-Bobi, the immediate past District Director in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region on the 25th Mrch 2023.

Directors of GES, Institutional Heads, teachers, students and other stakeholders including the chiefs in Fanteakwa South graced the occasion, which was held in the Osino Presbyterian Church.

In a series of fraternity and solidarity messages, speakers recounted the wonderful and fatherly relationship he maintained since taking up the leadership of the District as the Director of Education.

They speaking with news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, said Mr Matthew Adu-Bobi had always admonished members working under him and described him as hardworking, resilient, and strict in terms of executing his roles and duties.

The good people of Fanteakwa South one of the newly created districts in the Region as a whole had much confidence in him towards improving quality education delivery which he exceeded their expectations they added.

Mr Matthew Adu-Bobi retired have served with joy for four (4) years of active service as Fanteakwa South District Director of Education.

Speaking with the media, thanked the staff, management and entire GES fraternity for the support, love and confidence they had in him and recounted the struggles, challenges, and problems he went through executing his work.

He said that throughout his life journey, he has served GES well and he will forever be indebted to the Service. He wishes to urge his hardworking staff and management to continue the good work and never relent until the ultimate goal is achieved, he encouraged.

Mr Matthew Adu-Bobi said though the District was known as the citadel of education, more needed to be done and called for support from all angles to ensure education was significantly improved in the district.

The Retiring Director noted that education played a critical role in nation-building, therefore the management, staff and Directors must recognise, motivate, and equip themselves to effectively carry out their duties to achieve the quality the country yearned for.

Education remains the cornerstone of a progressive society, hence the need to appreciate those responsible for training the human resource, Mr Matthew Adu-Bobi noted.

He advised them to not relent in researching to be abreast of the new methods of teaching, especially in digital literacy to make good use of the new technology in the 21 century.

At the colourful celebration the dignitaries, guests, and directors, among other representatives from various departments and institutions helped present Citation in Honour to him of Champaign and declared the new milestone of the retiring Director.

The Chief Executive Officer for Fanteakwa South District Hon. Ernest Ofosu also speak about the retired Fanteakwa South District education director, when he assumed the position as the first substantive DDE of Fanteakwa South on 3rd September 2019, he was able to build the efficient team and put all structures in place for the smooth running of the directorate.

 

 

He added that his immense knowledge and experience played a critical role in getting staff to achieve resulresultssaid, during his tenure, the directorate achieved landmark success in leadership and management and improved academic performance at all levels of education under him in Fanteakwa South District. He said.
